Join us in the Capital of Costa Rica, San José, over the mid-winter "ski week" school break for lacrosse clinics and tournaments, service projects, surfing in Playa Jaco, white water rafting, and zip lining at the Poás Volcano!

• Experience the beauty of a tropical paradise and play lacrosse in a cross-cultural environment.
• Compete in the Costa Rica Lacrosse Federation’s mid-winter tournament against the Costa Rica national team.
• Grow the game of lacrosse by running clinics for elementary school children.
• Participate in painting and construction work projects. 
• Hands-on experience learning the significance of living a socially conscious life and how to positively impact the world.
• Earn community service hours for school requirement
• Of course, this is Costa Rica - Surfing (with optional lessons), jungle canopy zip line tours, white water rafting, and more!

This trip is open to qualified high school aged young men and women who have a desire to play lacrosse and serve others in a cross-cultural environment. Additionally, applicants should have a demonstrated history of maturity, leadership, service, and ability to interact positively in a dynamic team environment. Preference is given to upperclassmen.

Outline of Application Process:

3. Once application is submitted, Player and Parent(s) schedule an interview with Matt
4. Receive link to and complete online Pre-Registration
5. Submit initial deposit to confirm and reserve airfare, hotel, and roster spot
6. Receive hard-copy paperwork packet and travel documents (must have passport valid within 6 months of return date).
7. Further details regarding preparation, packing lists, training, donations, and in-person pre-trip meeting to follow.

Destination and Trip Logistics:

1. Trip cost of $3,950 includes round trip airfare from SFO-SJO (depart on red-eye Friday night after school), all-inclusive in-country
2. If you live outside of the West Coast (San Diego to Seattle), we can help design a trip from another city to meet the team.
3. Locally owned boutique style hotel lodging in San Jose for 6 days/5 nights
4. Three meals per day at locally owned, locally sourced restaurants
5. Ground transportation, rental cars, airport shuttles, team buses, field rentals/tournament fees
6. All activities costs - Surfboard rentals (+ optional lessons with professional instructors), Zip line canopy tour,  white water rafting, professional guides fees, instructors, service project supplies
7. Supplemental health insurance and emergency evacuation insurance
8. Fundraising is available
